The City of Chicago Public Art Program in partnership with artist Mark di Suvero invited Chicago and vicinity artists, activists and veterans to contribute panels of original artistic expression about peace and/or protest to the Peace Tower. Mark di Suvero is known in Chicago for his large metal structures that are currently on display in Milleneum Park.

I have two panels featured in this exhibition.

I painted a globe that is featured in the "CoolGlobes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet" exhibition. Artists were asked to create a design that presented a solution to global warming.

The CoolGlobes exhibit will be on display begining June 1, 2007 through September, along Chicago’s lakefront from The Field Museum campus, north to Balbo Drive and at Navy Pier. My globe is located about 6 globes north of the Field Museum, along the bike trail.

A few of my paintings showed up in a small editorial piece in the New York Times Style magazine Nov. 20, 2006 issue. The feature is about the Black Walnut Gallery, a local Chicago gallery where I have some of my art displayed. Apparently the editor and photographer really liked my work and wanted to work the pieces into the shot. See images here:

I'll have my art up this weekend, December 16th and 17th at the Bucktown Holiday Art Show. I have no idea what this show will be like, but it seems as though there are artists and vendors, so you can actually take care of some Christmas shopping.
