I believe in the oneness of humanity and that as one human race, we share a common destiny and purpose. In my work I explore the challenges associated with negotiating identity in the age of globalization. My central artistic goal is to discover intelligent and creative methods to engage with the questions of meaning and responsibility that arise in a rapidly changing, multicultural society. In my work, I explore the application of time-honored spiritual and ethical principles to contemporary issues that are often divorced from such understanding. Through the juxtaposition of traditional spiritual or religious themes with the immediacy of everyday events, I attempt to produce insight into the vagaries of the world we live in.
